The factory «Meteor» has been constructed in 1959 in Volzhsky, which in turn has been based for 5 years earlier in connection with construction of the Stalingrad HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION.

Creation of the factory in new city was not casual. It was thought over decision. The young city possesses always a more potential of young, educated and arrogant people. This potential also was required for successful development of the advanced and claimed electronic branch.

The city and the factory have proved in practice the solvency and necessities the next years. The construction of the trumpet factory largest in Europe has been started in this time in Volzhsky, and «Meteor» have started manufacture of the best Russian resonators such as KB (HC-27/U) and КА (HC-29/U).

By the end of 80th years the factory «Meteor» was the largest manufacturer of quartz resonators and filters in the country. More than 50% of radio equipment made in the country was completed with products of the factory «Meteor».

All products made in the factory were of high quality. These products are widely applied in telecom and navigation equipment, including board equipment of the air crafts and space vehicles. It is simply impossible to make the way in such elite segments under the patronage!

In 90s years the highintelectual manufacture has suddenly ceased to be claimed, and the highly specialized equipment and the serving personnel did not find the application. The factory has experienced slump in production and the deepest crisis.

These years were hard check on survivability and ability to withstand knock. "The Meteor plant" has managed to save the specialization, material resources and scientific potential as its experts knew and know, that the selected branch will be always claimed and necessary.

Now customers of the factory «Meteor» are over 500 enterprises of Russia and of the countries of Commonwealth of Independent States.

The factory together with subsidiary production unit Scientific Productions Association «Meteor Kurs» provides a through cycle from designing up to a batch production of crystals, filters and generators for industry and military use including manufacturing of crystal elements and cases. JSC «The METEOR plant» has licenses of the Ministry of Economics of the Russian Federation for development and manufacture of products of piezo electronics. The factory has the certificate of quality according to requirements of system of certification VOENELECTRONCERT.

Long-term experience of development and manufacture of the most complicated production, the effective monitoring system of quality provides high reliability of products of the factory.

The basic types of products are included in the catalogue of the enterprise. Many types of products are not included in the catalogue because they are specialized, are made in insignificant quantities or removed from manufacture. The manufacture of such products can be restored if necessary.

All products contained in the catalogue are included in the «List of products for radio-electronics, allowed to application for development (upgrade), manufacture and operation of the equipment, devices of military purpose» or in the «List of piezoelectric devices … recommended for application for development of … equipments of industry».

The brief characteristics of products, resulted in the catalogue, are typical. Delivery of products with more hard requirements is possible. Forms of custom-made specification for products with the requirements distinguished from typical are available in the end of the catalogue.

The order information is available in the catalogue. Manufacturing and delivery of products from depot are made within 3 up to 60 days. All production made by the factory has the guarantee for 12 and more years.
